BP - 1

BP-1 is one of the most effective pavements on the road.  BP-1 contains 1/2" sized aggregate and smaller, making it advantageous for bonding and strength.  BP-1 is desired by MoDoT for many highway and bridge construction jobs, because of the larger aggregate fractions as opposed to a BP-2.  It can be used as a top lift or middle lift depending upon the job it will be used on.
